The Federal Court said in a statement Tuesday that the “domain name system” ban was proportionate. Gaming officials have since 2019 used network blocks to limit market access to gambling approved in Switzerland.
The system means Swiss players can gamble online only with Swiss casinos and lotteries that pay taxes in the country and protect people from addiction.

The German group bet-at-home.com AG had already revealed the verdict on Monday.

The three rulings posted on the court’s website do not name the companies involved.

In four verdicts published last year, the Federal Administrative Court ruled against Interwetten International Ltd, Videoslots Ltd, bet-at-home Entertainment Ltd and Malta-based Lopoca Gaming Ltd in lawsuits against the Swiss Federal Gaming Board. seeking to circumvent the ban.
